Bill 10 has passed!

Bill 10 has passed!

The Child Care Modernization Act, 2014 has passed. There are many components of the Bill that will promote quality and safety in early learning and care settings; now that it has passed we are ready to focus our attention on the development of appropriate, effective regulations. We will also continue to review financial models and options that are supportive of Home Child Care Providers, including advocating for base funding so administrative rates can be reduced or eliminated.

Bill 10 - Child Care Modernization Act, 2014

Dear Parents; I am excited to share that Bill 10, the Child Care Modernization Act 2014, is going to committee next week. Neeka, Cheryl and I (Manager and Supervisor of our Home Child Care Program) will be travelling to Toronto on Monday November 17, 2014 to present why we are excited about this legislation and why it is important for the safety and quality of care for our children.
